Hi everyone, my name is Mike Friar. For those of you that don’t know me, I am a longtime friend and former basketball teammate of Steve Ernst from both Charlotte High School and Alma College.
As many of you know, Steve has been receiving chemotherapy treatments at the University of Michigan since August 2022 as he continues his fight and recovery against cancer. Since August, Steve has not been coaching or teaching. Therefore, I am reaching out on behalf of Steve, appealing to friends, peers, former players and teammates, to assist Steve and his family by donating to help cover basic living and travel expenses as Steve commutes from Petoskey to Ann Arbor for chemo treatments.
I have a lot of confidence and faith in the Basketball family. If you’d like to show your support, please do so here. All of the funds raised will go toward helping Steve, who has dedicated his life to the game of Basketball and helping thousands of student athletes in the process.
