THE FUNDRAISER
I’m participating in the 1st Annual Mo’s Smile / Mo’s Miles hockey tournament to raise money for The Maurice A. Campbell II Initiative at MSK Kids dedicated to funding groundbreaking research for Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor (DSRCT), a rare childhood cancer.
Maurice Anthony Campbell II, known as Mo, was an extraordinary individual whose love for hockey and life inspired everyone around him. He was a defenseman for the nationally ranked 15U New Jersey Avalanche hockey team when he was diagnosed with DSRCT on his 15th birthday. Despite his diagnosis, Mo continued to excel academically, support his hockey team, and inspire others with his resilience and spirit.
